Passive Voice Exercises

Active voice and passive voice are two grammatical structures that convey information differently. In active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action, making it direct and dynamic. For example, “The dog chased the cat” clearly indicates who is doing the action. In passive voice, the subject receives the action. For instance, “The cat was chased by the dog” shifts focus from the dog to the cat. While both voices are correct, active voice is generally preferred for clear and concise writing. passive voice can be useful in formal writing or when the doer is unknown or less important. Writers often choose between them based on the emphasis they wish to convey.
