Comparative And Superlative Exercises

Comparative and superlative adjectives are used to compare and contrast qualities of different people, places, or things. Comparative adjectives compare two things, using “-er” for short words, or “more” for longer ones, such as “taller” or “more beautiful”. They often include “than” to show the comparison, For example, “She is taller than her brother”. Superlative adjectives compare one thing to a group, using “-est” for short words or “most” for longer ones, like “tallest” or “most beautiful”. We often use “the” with superlatives, for instance, “She is the tallest in the class”. Some adjectives have irregular forms, such as “good” becoming “better” (comparative) and “best” (superlative).
